I’ve just watched a recorded breezo about Adobe LiveCycle and must admit that this line of products seems to be both interesting as powerful. I never really got involved with the details of Adobe’s server technologies but I guess I should better be… 🙂
I didn’t know that people actually _build_ stuff with it… take this sudoku game in a PDF as an example.
Me too… I’ve been studying the Intelligent Document technology pretty hard recently, and it’s impressive, interesting too.
Have you seen any particular work that it could help you do, or might help you do in the future? That type of scenario stuff could help me look at it better, thanks. Why does it interest you…?
As a long-time CFer I am pretty excited about LiveCycle too. LiveCycle is now in the same Adobe business unit as ColdFusion and Flex. The business unit is under David Mendels who headed this business unit at Macromedia.
But be forewarned, LiveCycle pricing is altogether different than the “shrinkwrap” oriented pricing of ColdFusion and even Flex server.
Euphemistically speaking LiveCycle is an “enterprise” product. Meaning six-figure plus pricing. Far more than the CF Enterprise’s current list price of $5,999.
