MXDU: Day 0

by kai on 17/02/2005

Day 0 of MXDU 2005 is over and it was quite entertaining. I met Geoff Bowers in the early morning at Star City to help him setting up the room for Grant Skinners workshop on Action Script OO. Aber going to bed again for a while, Diane and I decided to stroll around the city and went to QVB to buy things 😉

In the afternoon I urgently had to finish my talk on CF Scalability. Well, it quite final already, but I wanted to show some thing related to monitoring a JVM using JVMstat. I was shocked a bit as I noted that Sun came out with a 3.0 version of the tool – I never used that one before 😉 But all worked out fine.

Day zeros night was all about the AsiaPac MM User Group meeting. We had three topics at all. The first preso was about a graphical representation on flight maps in a RIA. After that Sean Corfield talked about the most important things around CF and the CF community in 2004 from the point of view of a community blogger. That was awesome!
