MXDU: Day 2

by kai on 19/02/2005

Tonight (“Day 3”) šŸ˜‰ some people complained that I didn’t end up with reporting on MXDU 2005. Yes, sorry, you could really blame me for that šŸ˜‰ The reason was that my free Wifi connection was switched off somehow and I was too lazy to set up the modem line etc.

But anyhow. Day 2 started with another awesome superhero-themed movie done by Nectarine. Watch out for it to appear on the MXDU site soon!
Mike Downey and Mike Chambers showed a lot of stuff related to 8Ball and Maelstrom and the audience seemed to be excited.

After that I went to Mike Blairs session on building applications with Flex and ColdFusion which was some sort of basic stuff but which was very good for many people to get into it. I needed a break after that because I was still tired from the night before so I went into an early lunch break.

The afternoon sessions on the Blackstone Event Gateways and Enterprise Integration (done by Geoff Bowers and Sean Corfield) had been on a very high level! Great work guys!

The conference was closed with a Macromedia roundtable and a lot of gifts for the speakers. Thanks guys, but as always – where to put all the wonderful things in my suitcase???? šŸ˜‰

Hi Kai, it was great to see you again and thanks again for all your help. If you hear anything about the Jrun clustering issues we spoke about I would be very grateful if you let me know. I’ll be in touch again soon, but hope to see you again at MXDU next year. – Jason
