New Flex showcase site

by kai on 19/09/2007

At some point during the night, the new Flex showcase site was pushed live. It’s available on the old URL (http://flex.org/showcase/), but it’s completely revamped and a a Flex application sitting on top of a Drupal PHP backend.

Besides the fact that there is a new poshy site, the interesting thing to mention here is that Adobe has funded the Drupal community to develop a Services/ module for Drupal which allows to hook Flex frontends to Drupal. You might like it or not that Adobe is putting money into “non-Adobe” server technologies, but from my point of view it’s a great move to seed open source development in this manner (yes, the developed extension modules are being put back into the Drupal project 🙂 Awesome stuff, driven by the Adobe Flex team!
