Charity competition at Adobe AU – Donate!

by kai on 10/04/2008

I’m being “spammed” since yesterday night šŸ™‚ Apparently my friends of at Adobe Australia are running some sort of office team building competition – for a very good cause. I don’t know all the details but it’s about the teams building web sites or applications to get a many people donating for the Fred Hollows Foundation.

Yesterday night, a true Twitter- and email-rush has started and I know of at least three sites supporting the cause and I’ve got some friends in those.

There’s Million Eyes of Sight – driven by Mark Blair and also involving Clare Cahill (among other stuff she’s behind the Adobe Pacific Connect Seminars) and Tim Hussey (he’s the Asia Pacific Partner Program manager – I’m sure you know him if you’re an Adobe Partner).

Then there’s VisionAIR – with Andrew Spaulding, Mark Szulc and other behind the scenes. They’ve build an AIR application to track how many people donate etc.

The third seems to be Bid for Fitz – featuring a few ebay auctions to raise money. Might be because I’m not an Antipodean or at least that I’m not an Aussie by birth, but I don’t have an idea who he is anyway.

The competition runs until noon today, Friday 11th of April Sydney time. That’s 2 pm NZ and rougly 6 hours from now. Pick your idea (or your favourite Adobe-ian) and donate!
