Web on the piste

Just got the official word that the Web on the Piste conference in Queenstown goes ahead and really is going to happen in August 2007. The guys from Straker and Gruden have been pushing and organizing the whole thing, awesome stuff!

You might not see the benefits right now while reading this post, but let me tell you that Queenstown (on New Zealands South Island) is known as “Adventure Capital” and offers a lot of stuff such as rafting, abseiling, bungeeing etc. AND obviously it’s one of the best skiing and snowboarding locations in New Zealand.

The conference is on at August 22nd/23rd, that should be Wednesday/Thursday – so there would be plenty of time to stay for the weekend and take your snowboard up and down the hills a few times!

But – that’s not all: Besides having fun, there will be a lot of opportunity to learn, network and meet peers. The pending list of speakers looks awesome, a great mix of domestic and international people and a good bunch of guys I haven’t seen for ages and I’m really keen to catch up with – even better if they come down to New Zealand instead of me having to go overseas 😉

To wrap it up: If you’re based somewhere in Ozeania and (consider) working with Flex, Apollo or CF – this conference is a must. If you’re somewhere else in the world it’s pretty much of a must as well as you’d love the scenery and setting in New Zealand just for a work holiday trip!

See you in Queenstown – I’m going to book my travel soon!
