Awesome use of Flash

by kai on 08/03/2006

The National Bank of New Zealand launched a great web application based on Flash. Well, the application is not rocket science, but the idea is just awesome. The National Bank is one of New Zealand’s full service banks. That said, they offer a wide range of personal or business services. One of them is an EFTPOS card (in other countries that might be called bank card, EC card, cash card), whatever.

National Bank now offers a service which allows their customers to design their own EFTPOS card. One could upload a picture and play with it online and then order his personalized bank card. That’s a pretty cool idea – I was thinking about if I should just open an account with them for that 🙂

It makes me think a lot of the examples that are in the book ‘Bulding RIAs with Flex’.
Cool to see that market trying flashy things 🙂
